Our Heritage

Meet the Craftsman

I started this workshop not to fill houses with furniture, but to create objects that hold memory. Growing up in the fjords, I learned early that nature doesn’t rush, and neither should we.

Each piece that leaves these doors is a conversation between the grain of the wood and the precision of the hand. We don’t use veneers or shortcuts. Just solid timber, traditional joinery, and a finish that begs to be touched.

When you buy a piece from Scandinavian Carpenter, you’re not just buying a table or a chair. You’re commissioning a piece of history for your family.

The Workshop

The Artisanal Process

Every piece follows a journey from sustainable forest to final polish.

Purposeful design — minimal oak stool

01. Purposeful Design

We design for longevity and utility. Every curve and angle serves a purpose, stripped of any unnecessary ornamentation.

Hand-cut joinery — live-edge maple table

02. Hand-Cut Joinery

No metal screws or hidden plastic. We use dovetails and mortise-and-tenon joints that grow stronger with age.

Natural finishing — oiled epoxy table in a living room

03. Natural Finishing

We protect our timber with hand-rubbed oils and waxes. It lets the wood breathe and age gracefully over decades.
